Noatum terminal Castellon committed to sustainability in its facilities

Terminal Castellon
  • Noatum Terminal Castellon has completed the acquisition of two pure electric vehicles, model Dacia Spring Comfort Plus Electric.
  • This investment in terminal equipment is in line with the Group’s commitment to sustainability.

Noatum’s specialised terminal division, Noatum Terminals, has acquired two pure electric automobiles to complete its fleet of vehicles for on-site operations at its Castellon terminal.

Noatum, as a key port operator in the Mediterranean, reinforces its commitment to offer maximum excellence in all the logistics services it provides, always thinking of its customers and with continuous improvement as a key objective.

The new vehicles are two pure electric cars of the Dacia Spring Comfort Plus Electric model, which replace two Diesel vehicles. These two cars join the terminal’s electrified fleet, as two hybrid models were previously acquired three years ago, following the ESG recommendations and actions proposed by the Group.

The acquisition of these automobiles has led to the upgrade of the infrastructure with the installation of two charging stations for electric vehicles at the terminal. The charging ports are 7kw and 32A, ideal for efficiently charging the batteries.

Noatum’s Environmental Policy aims to set out the guiding principles that mark and steer the Group on the environmental performance of its business activities. It also provides a common frame of reference for the definition of environmental objectives and corporate actions that enable the achievement of the results planned by an Environmental Management System.

Noatum Terminal Castellon offers comprehensive conventional, container, and solid bulk cargo services. These investments are an addition to the recent acquisition of a new high-tonnage crane for bulk operations in this terminal, demonstrating the Group’s commitment to providing the most up-to-date equipment with the best technical improvements available, which helps to maintain the optimum quality of services and improve performance and efficiency in operations.
