Noatum, as a leader in the logistics sector, recognised for the excellence of its services and its specialised workforce, is firmly committed to prevention and safety at the workplace as we prioritise the care of our people and their wellbeing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are one of the most common work-related ailments among the working population in the European Union.<\/p>\n

Given our firm commitment to prevention and occupational safety, we have begun a project fostering the use and implementation of exoskeletons at our facilities in the ZAL Port of Barcelona.<\/p>\n

Throughout a collaboration between Healthy Technical Suits and the Group\u2019s Health and Safety department, we have assessed the appropriate framework of action and defined a common objective on the most critical business units for ergonomic needs such us warehouses and port terminals.<\/p>\n

The objective is to improve the working conditions of those who perform heavy-duty physical activity by providing an exoskeleton designed to provide assisting force to the workers, helping them with the lifting of heavy objects and improving other issues as posture.<\/p>\n

Muscle Suit Every is the world’ s first lumbar exoskeleton to obtain CE certification harmonised with the Machine Directive 2006\/42\/EC, EN-ISO 12100:2010 and UNE-EN ISO 13482:2014 certification. The implementation of the Muscle Suit Every lumbar exoskeleton has allowed Noatum to address musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and prevent the aforementioned injuries.<\/p>\n

Staff at Noatum Logistics experienced first-hand how the Muscle Suit Every exoskeleton adapts perfectly to the body and allows them to comfortably perform the actions intrinsically associated with movement in their workplace and the recurrent handling of heavy loads. The success of this project on its initial stage supports our plans to apply it on a global scope, and extending to all Noatum\u2019s locations.<\/p>\n

At Noatum, we take a keen interest on developing strategies for the safety of our staff, as our Health and Safety Strategy Plan addresses directly the prevention of any work-related ailment, whereas it comes from an accident or any repetitive task.<\/p>\n
