The new structure strengthens\u00a0<strong>Noatum Maritime<\/strong>\u00a0with new port infrastructure to complement the already existing port services through\u00a0<strong>the inclusion of all non-container terminals of Noatum Ports<\/strong>, i.e. the terminals of Santander, Sagunto, M\u00e1laga and Barcelona (Autoterminal). These measures are intended to consolidate the leadership of Noatum Maritime by streamlining the company\u2019s assets and identifying synergies between Group companies. The new structure is subject to pertinent approvals.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, the container terminals of Valencia, Bilbao and Las Palmas (OPCSA) and the dry ports of Madrid (Conterail) and Zaragoza will continue under Noatum Ports.<\/p>\n<p>In line with the inclusion of the aforementioned assets in Noatum Maritime and in view of future growth and investments, as well as to ensure efficient management,\u00a0<strong>three subsidiary companies of Noatum Maritime<\/strong>have been constituted to integrate all Noatum Maritime companies according to their field of activity: NOATUM MARITIME SERVICES, including all shipping agency activities of the Group (Marmedsa), NOATUM LOGISTICS and NOATUM MARITIME TERMINALS (which will integrate all non-container terminals: Santander, Sagunto, M\u00e1laga and Barcelona).<\/p>\n<p>This will consolidate the leadership of Noatum Maritime in port services and multi-purpose terminals in the domestic and international market.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Noatum\u2019s CEO, Douglas Schultz, stated: \u201cThis measure is intended to rationalize the asset distribution between Noatum Ports and Noatum Maritime so that both companies can maximize their respective market positions, as well as to optimize the current structure through an efficient distribution of the Group terminals, strategically bringing together the Group\u2019s business areas to promote synergies, increase the quality of the service offered to our customers and reinforce long-term commercial relationships.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Concerning the management structure,\u00a0<strong>Douglas Schultz<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Chris Gray<\/strong>\u00a0will retain their positions as CEO and President of Noatum Group, respectively.\u00a0<strong>Antonio Campoy<\/strong>\u00a0has been appointed General Manager of Noatum Maritime with full responsibility for all current and future holdings of Noatum Maritime under the revised structure, and\u00a0<strong>El\u00edas Garc\u00eda<\/strong>\u00a0maintains the position of COO of Noatum Ports, both reporting to Douglas Schultz.<\/p>\n<p>The above changes are oriented towards strengthening the position of Noatum Maritime as leading port-services company with a portfolio of multi-purpose terminals, both at the national and international level, while combining the company\u2019s Ro-Ro, bulk cargo and multi-purpose terminals provision under the wider structure of Noatum Maritime in Spain. At the same time, the changes seek to consolidate Autoterminal as a Hub in the Mediterranean and strategic point of reference in Europe for main automobile brands worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the new structure is intended to maximize the growth potential of bulk cargo terminals (Sagunto and Santander) with Noatum Maritime\u2019s know-how and experience and develop the potential of the terminal in Malaga as a multi-purpose provider.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the new measures affecting\u00a0<strong>Noatum Ports\u00a0<\/strong>are aimed at maximizing the capacity of the company\u2019s container terminals in Valencia, Bilbao and Las Palmas, as well as the railway terminals of Zaragoza and Madrid and to continue the implementation of the company\u2019s long-term strategic plans for container terminals, including the investments in cranes and operative capacity carried out in the terminals of Bilbao (\u20ac34 M) and Valencia (\u20ac100
