In total, 85 representatives from 52 member companies, including Maersk, H\u00f6egh, NYK, MOL, &#8220;K&#8221; Line, CMA CMG, among other shipowners, as well as other worldwide shipping agencies such as S5, GAC and Ben Line Agencies attended the event.<\/p>\n<p>Marmedsa Noatum Maritime, following its commitment to corporate social responsibility, has been member of the MACN\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.marmedsa.com\/marmedsa-noatum-maritime-miembro-anti-corruption-macn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">since the end of last year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the main conclusions of the meeting included strengthening of MACN\u2019s core activities which means: reinforcing members\u2019 internal\u00a0<em>compliance<\/em>\u00a0programs; delivering of result focused collective actions leading to more efficient port operations and reduction of corrupt demands; as well as collaborating with key stakeholders to raise awareness of integrity issues across the supply chain.<\/p>\n<p>MACN is a global business network working towards the vision of a maritime industry free of corruption that enables fair trade to the benefit of society. MACN and its members promote good corporate practice in the maritime industry for tackling bribes, facilitation payments and other forms of corruption.
