More than 150 executives, professionals and collaborators of shipping companies as well as different authorities of the maritime sector and the port community of Barcelona attended the event.\u00a0<span id=\"more-9805\"><\/span>The ceremony, which took place in El principal del Eixample, started with the speech of Jordi Trius, President of the Association and Managing Director of Noatum Maritime Services.<\/p>\n<p>Trius highlighted the shipping agent\u2019s relevant role in the record results that the port of Barcelona is obtaining in 2017. He also highlighted the collective effort carried out by the association, based on obtaining recognition of the profession, training and active participation in the life of the Port community.<\/p>\n<p>The event also count on the participation of Dami\u00e0 Calvet, Minister of Territory and Sustainability of the Government of Catalonia, Julio Carrasco, President of the Spanish Association of Shipping Agents, Sixte Cambra, President of Barcelona Port, Pere Padrosa, General Manager of Infrastructures and Mobility and Ricard Font, Secretary of Infrastructures and Mobility of the Government of Catalonia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last 14th of June, the Association of Shipping Agents of Barcelona celebrated, for the 6th year running, the &#8216;Shipping Agent Day&#8217;.
